What we did
SoLO provides social activities, personal assistants, person-centred planning, independent living and supported living services for people with moderate to complex learning disabilities. Cuts in social services contracts have resulted in increased need/ demand and funding pressures on the organisation.
We bid for and secured Lottery Local Sustainability Funding and Big Potential funding to support SoLO to develop and grow. Activities that we delivered were: Business planning, market analysis, financial modelling, social return on investment evaluation. As a result SoLO secured a large social investment to expand its services by delivering Supported Living for people with disabilities, contributing to its future sustainability.
Outcomes
Increased funding and investment, increased social value, increased skills and knowledge.
